Coach Kemper is entering his first year at St. Michael’s. Before joining the Crusaders staff in 2023, he was the head football coach at Tigard High School in Tigard Oregon from 2019-2023. Prior to his head coaching position, he was an assistant offensive line coach for 10 years at the same high school. In 2008, he joined the football staff at his alma mater, Linfield College, as an assistant offensive line coach.

In 2019, Coach Kemper was named the Three Rivers League coach of the year and has coached 23 All-State Offensive linemen over his 14 years at Tigard. He has been blessed to coach many players that have had the opportunity to play college football from the DIII-DI levels. 

Coach Kemper’s experience in athletics expands to other sports as well, including basketball, baseball, and golf. He was also a Physical Education teacher and worked in Special Education while at Tigard. 

In college, Coach Kemper's played football at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon from 2003-2007. In 2004, the Wildcats won the DIII National Championship, his senior year being named an all-league center and offensive captain.

Coach Kemper and his wife, Kerstin, just celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary in July. They are the proud parents of two great kids Reagan (6) and Rhett (3).  Kerstin is a 3rd-grade teacher in the Dripping Springs School District.
