On Saturday, January 18, the Sapphire Dance Team competed in the TAPPS Dance Championship in Waco, showcasing their talent and dedication to dance. The team participated in several categories, including team lyrical, team pom, small ensemble, and three solos. While official team placements have yet to be announced, the Sapphires received an outstanding Superior rating!

The Small Ensemble, featuring Isa Creixell ('25), Genevieve Putegnat ('25), and Hannah Howard ('26), earned a Division 1 Superior Rating. Soloists Sunni De Leon ('25) in lyrical, Hannah Howard ('26) in lyrical, and Charli Vinklarek ('27) in jazz, all achieved Division 1 Superior Ratings as well!

In a special highlight, Charli Vinklarek ('27) competed in the Turn Competition and was one of only 10 dancers—out of approximately 100—who earned a placement on the Turn Company!

In addition, several dancers received prestigious All State honors – congratulations, Sapphires!
