Congratulations to the Sapphire Varsity and JV dance teams for an outstanding week at the UDA Camp in San Marcos, held July 22–25! After two intensive days of training, the Sapphires completed team evaluations on the third day and earned Blue Ribbons across the board—the highest possible rating. Throughout the week, the team was also recognized for its dedication, leadership, and enthusiasm, earning the Super Spirit Stick for outstanding team spirit, the 110% Award for consistent effort, and the highest average number of drill down ribbons at camp for the second consecutive year. Ellen Nelson ('29) was crowned Drill Down Queen, bringing the title back to the Sapphires once again!

Individual accomplishments made the week even more memorable! Alina Fang ('27), Penny Herbeck ('27), Addison Kelley ('27), and Charli Vinklarek ('27) were selected to the UDA All-American Dance Team! Charli and Addison received UDA's "Pin It Forward" recognition for their leadership and positive representation, and Charli was also invited to join the UDA staff for the upcoming year! Congratulations to all of these talented dancers on an incredible camp and an impressive start to the season!
