The girls lacrosse defeated #2-seed Anderson High School 17-12 in Saturday’s state semi-final game. It was a back-and-forth battle, but the Crusaders never trailed after the first goal of the game was scored by Anderson. The team stayed consistent, held a two goal lead at halftime, and started to pull away through the second half. Impact players were Farren Peterson (12 DCs, 4 Goals), Fiona Tanis (12 DCs, 6 Goals), Bridget Baile (3 Goals, 3 Assists), and Maggie Lewis (3 Goals).
Saturday’s win over the Trojans led the team to the program’s first-ever State Championship game. Unfortunately, they fell short in the final game on Sunday to The Hockaday School. The team played a tough game and never stopped fighting.
Congratulations on a great season, Crusaders!
