As of December 9, 2024, the St. Michael's Prep varsity boys basketball team is ranked 4th in the state of Texas via MaxPreps! After defeating schools such as Germantown High School from Mississippi (63-44) and Centennial High School from California (59-46) in the Thanksgiving Hoopfest in Duncanville, as well as defeating UIL 6th-ranked Stony Point High School (75-61) and UIL 3rd-ranked Shadow Creek High School (49-46) earlier in the season, the team has positioned itself strongly with more top-ranked opponents still ahead.
The team currently has a 15-2 record, winning last week's Pflugerville ISD Invitational (6-0), and is expected to move up in the rankings.
This week, the team is on the road to take on Lake Travis High School on Friday, December 13, with the JV II game beginning at 5:00 pm, the JV game at 6:15 pm, and the varsity game at 7:30 pm.
