Congratulations to the Sapphire Dance Team for their outstanding performance at the Texas Classic in Belton on Saturday, February 8th, where they earned numerous awards! Sunni De Leon ('25) received a Division 1 rating in the Extra Small Team Division Solos, and Charli Vinklarek ('27) won 1st place overall! The Dance Officer Small Ensemble, featuring Isa Crexiell ('25), Hannah Howard ('26), and Genevieve Putegnat ('25), also secured 1st place in their division!

The team earned a Sweepstakes and the Gussie Nell Davis Award for scoring 93 and above in all routines, plus a Judges Award for scores of 94 and above. The Sapphires also took home Platinum awards for Best Overall Precision, Technique, Presentation, and Choreography. Named 2nd runner-up in the Extra Small Team Division, they were also 1st runner-up for the Academic Champions Award. The Sapphires were ranked 5th out of 25 teams in the overall Best of the Best competition! Congratulations, team!
