The Warrior swim team had a great first meet at the Battle of the Crown in San Antonio with Matthew Jiampietro ('26) breaking a school record in the boys 100 breaststroke! This was a large meet with over 300 swimmers and over 20 teams from across the state.

Matthew Jiampietro ('26) took home 1st in both the 200 free and 100 breaststroke, setting a new school record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.03 (previous record was 59.51)! Juliana Tryba ('27) was the heat winner in the 100 free with a personal best time, Anna Smith ('27) had a personal best time in the 100-meter breaststroke and looked very strong on the 50 free. Liam Moore ('28) was the heat winner in the 100 free and had a great 50 free in his first swim meet ever! Walter Smith ('25) was the heat winner in both the 50 and 100 free and had personal best times. Andrew Yahin ('25) looked very strong 100-meter fly, placing 7th – he also placed 2nd in the 100 backstroke with a personal best time! The boys relays did very well, placing 6th in the 200 free relay and 4th in the 400 free relay. Congratulations on your first meet, team!
